A Peek at the Month

April was a short month due to Easter break. In math we are still working with the chapter on subtraction. This one is a bit trickier than addition. We also practice math skills in the computer room with add/subtr activities on the computer.                                                In reading, all five vowels have been presented in our book.                                We learned about keeping our earth clean and conserving energy for Earth Day.  All promised to do their best to take care of our earth!

 Looking Ahead

May is very busy for kindergarten, beginning with our trip to Monmouth Museum. The following week is the Mothers Day Tea & the next is Field Day. All of this and we also have to practice for graduation! The class is very excited about all that is coming up.            We will begin our last math chapter in May on coins. I saved this for last because it’s the hardest one.                                                We have finished our religion books & the whole school is doing a six week program on Good God Choices. Kindergarten level will talk about how to be a good friend, conflict &          bullying, forgiving & seeing the              positive in everyone.
