Text Box: Week of May 14, 2012 Theme: The Letter Z Monday: Literacy—The children will enjoy the story, “My Little Z Book.” They will also make a Z Word Web. Art—The children will make a lion in a zoo craft. Fine Motor Skills—The children will practice writing Z on a zoo worksheet. Music—The children will practice for their upcoming graduation. Tuesday: Literacy—The children will enjoy the story, “Zippy Zebra.” They will also expand on their word web. Music—The children will practice for their upcoming graduation. Art—The children will find Z words by making a Z slide paper. Fine Motor Skills—The children will practice writing the letter Z. Physical Fitness—The children will learn some Yoga moves. Wednesday: Literacy—The children will enjoy the story “Zebra’s Big Day.” Art—The children will make a Zippy Zebra. Math—The children will complete a zebra connect the dots to review numbers. Music—The children will practice for their upcoming graduation. Fine Motor Skills—The children will finger paint zeros. Thursday: Literacy—The children will enjoy the story, “Mary’s Little Boy.” Art—The children will glue zero’s (Cheerios) onto zeros. Fine Motor Skills—The children will complete cut and assemble Zany Zinneas. Music—The children will practice for their upcoming graduation. Journal Writing—The children will complete their weekly journal writing paper. Religion—The children will celebrate the crowning of Mary. Friday: Literacy—The children will enjoy the story, “Mary Son of God.” Religion—The children will celebrate the crowning of Mary. Gym—The children will participate in the Walk a Thon. Music—The children will practice for their upcoming graduation. Journal Writing—The children will complete their weekly journal writing paper. The children who were in school yesterday will complete an alternate paper. Fine Motor Skills—The children will complete a Z is for zoo color and trace paper.
